No special training or experience is required–using this verifier is as simple as placing the barcode verifier over the barcode and pushing a button. Cognex TruCheck Webscan Optima meets the International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) “Barcode Print Quality Test Specification (ISO 15416 and 15415) and the American National Standard Institute’s “Guideline for Barcode Quality’ (ANSI X3.182-1990).
The Optima is in complinace with MIL-STD 130 (L through N), ISO 16022, ISO 18004, ISO 16023, ISO 24778, AIQG AS9132 and AIM DPM (only 45Q). It also meets International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) “Barcode Print Quality Test Specification (ISO 15416 and ISO 15415) and the American National Standard Institute’s “Guideline for Barcode Quality’ (ANSI X3.182-1990).
Cognex TruCheck Webscan Optima barcode verifiers are handheld and compact in size allowing for easy movement of the units to inspect barcodes on odd shaped packages or on large sheets. The design ensures that the image is calibrated and in ocus resulting in superior ccuracy and repeatability.

Cognex TruCheck Webscan Optima inspects all of the ISO/ANSI parameters in compliance with ISO 15416 (1D linear barcodes), and ISO 15415 (2D barcodes), and more detailed analysis of the barcode is available with a few clicks of the mouse. The analysis will be color coded to show exactly where the problem is within the barcode. Sections of the barcode can be analyzed to better determine how to solve the problem.
Two models are available (different field of view):
Optima Plus is 2.75" x 2.06" (70mm x 52mm)
Optima Standard 2.00" x 1.50" (51mm x 38mm)
Both models will inspect all barcodes down to a minimum X dimension of 8 mils. To inspect a barcode, simply place the verifier over your symbol and push the button. Grading is automatically performed and the results are quickly displayed on the screen with a graphical interface highlighting for operators where any potential roblems exist.
