Magicard 300 Dual-Sided ID Card Printer prints onto both CR79 and CR80 credit-card sized cards. Easily print on biodegradable PVC, PVC ISO blank cards, self-adhesive, rewritable, paper-based and HoloPatch ID cards. The only card we wouldn’t advise you to use is an access control card as these cards contain a raised chip and printing over this chip with a direct-to-card printer can cause a blemish to your print, resulting in higher re-issuance costs.

Q: Can the machine print onto access control cards?
A: We don’t recommend using the 300 to print onto contactless or smart cards as it is a direct-to-card printer. If you will be printing on access control cards, you will need a retransfer printer.
Q: Can the Magicard 300 print on both sides of the card?
A: Yes. The Magicard 300 ID card printer is available in both single and dual-sided models. Thanks to our current offer, you will receive a free upgrade to dual-sided printing with every single-sided option. The double-sided model will automatically be added to your basket.
Q: Are cards and printer ribbons included?

Q: Can the 300 handle complex designs and block colours?
A: As a DTC printer, the Magicard 300 is suitable for those requiring a simple card design, so block colours isn’t a great option.
Q: Does the Magicard 300 support over-the-edge card printing?
A: Direct-to-card printers do not print right up to the sharp edge of a card, as doing so could damage the printhead. Therefore, a small, plain border is left around the sides of the card surface, to prolong the printer’s lifespan.
