Datalogic's Rhino II is an unbelievably robust and reliable vehicle terminal for harsh environments. The variants of this device prove themselves through consistent and stable operation in production, warehousing and logistics environments, as well as in public security. The whole device is Made in Germany and completely sealed against dust and liquids according to IP65 or IP67, depending on the needs.
The vehicle terminal is a real lightweight, weighing in at only 3.4 to 4.7 kg, depending on the equipment. It is operated via a 10'' or 12'' PCAP touch display. Ruggedness is ensured by 3 mm of tempered glass with anti-glare coating that additionally enables users to read the display without distracting reflections even in the sunlight. Even when wearing thick gloves, the display reacts immediately to touch and is always ready for usage. Optionally, the vehicle terminal features an external ABCD or QWERTY keyboard with keyboard software.
If required, a special variant with resistive touch display is available for use in cold storage environments: an internal heating system maintains device functionality even in extreme temperatures down to -30 °C. It performs equally well in heat up to a maximum of 55 °C.
The Rhino II connects with USB, RS-232, Ethernet, Bluetooth 4.0 or WLAN. How? With a custom-built antenna that provides a stable connection even under tough conditions. You have your choice of operating systems, too: Windows Embedded Standard 7, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 64 bit or Android. Because of its internal power supply, the Rhino II may be taken along anywhere. In just a few steps you mount it where you need it. Should the device be disconnected from its external power source, an optional backup battery steps in with 30 minutes of autonomous run time.
Via service contracts the vehicle terminal receives support from Datalogic’s platform »EASEOFCARE«. With it, the Rhino II receives access to a broad range of service offers, with which the maximum productivity and ROI are further increased.

WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT - Tailored for warehouse management, the Rhino vehicle computer increases productivity through reduced errors during receiving, put-away, picking and shipping activities. Adding a handheld barcode scanner such as Datalogic’s PowerScan™ allows for quick data entry and location confirmations.
VERSATILITY - The Rhino vehicle computer is equipped with an internal isolated power supply, ignition sense to automatically control the power, and an optional battery backup for the ultimate protection against data loss. The Rhino vehicle computer fits different mounting and space constraints. Mounting options include various brackets and RAM mounts for the vehicle computer along with ABCD or QWERTY external keyboards. A dedicated software keyboard includes a multitude of layouts and languages, adapting the Rhino computer to a minimum footprint and global applications.
OPERATING SYSTEM AND UTILITIES - The Rhino II computer offers a choice of Windows Embedded Compact 7 (WEC7), Windows Embedded 7, or Windows 10 IoT Enterprise operating systems. Included are various Datalogic Utilities and on the WEC7 models, Wavelink® Avalanche™ and Terminal Emulation are pre-loaded and pre-licensed, allowing the Rhino computer to maximize return-on-investment (ROI) through easy deployment, device and maintenance management.
