Vehicle terminals are essential for reducing errors in logistics operations such as stock storage or removal and shipping. The portable data collection devices of the Datalogic R series were designed for warehouse management and will increase you productivity enormously. All components are highly durable and impact-resistant to guarantee a very long service life. The terminals are available in three different sizes of 17.8 cm 7, 25.4 cm 10, 30.5 cm 12. Each terminal is equipped with a large, clearly readable backlit colour touch display. The use of 2-tailed technology makes the screens very robust and guarantees non-stop use over prolonged periods. An optional 17.8 cm 7 version with vertical display is available on request. Apart from forklift applications, the small models make excellent additions in machines and agricultural applications.
The pre-installed Windows CE 5.0 operating was specially developed for industrial applications and is 100 compatible with you existing systems. The terminals are equipped with a 520 MHz Marvell X-Scale CPU, 128 MB RAM and 128 MB flash memory. The advantages are not only extraordinary performance, but also a large range of supported applications. This includes standard PCMCIA extension cards, e.g. for UTMS connectivity, and CF cards for memory expansion.
The front side of the devices features a linear numeric keypad and function keys for various applications. The optional software keyboard with 25 different layouts in eight languages is intended for alphanumeric input. If required, optional external QWERTY or ABCD keyboards can be easily installed with mounting options in the vehicle as well.
Naturally, the terminals are particularly efficient in combination with professional bar code scanners from Datalogic. Simply connect the scanners via USB and RS232, or use Star Modems to connect the terminals wirelessly.
Apart from two RS232 ports of which one can be used to power external hand-held devices, the interface range includes three USB ports 1 x USB 2.0 for host connections, 1 x Mini USB 1.1 on-the-go, and 1 x Mini USB for client connections.
For convenient access to most networks, the devices feature an integrated 802.11b/g Wi-Fi interface. This makes real-time data transmission to local networks not only extremely simple but also very secure. The preinstalled, licensed remote management suite Wavelink Avalanche allows seamless device management, while the configuration tool Wavelink Terminal Emulation makes configuration easy.
The fanless aluminium design of the R series provides state-of-the-art durability even strong vibrations and impacts on vehicles with only limited suspension do not harm these devices. In order to meet different vehicle specifications, all terminals come with a five-metre power supply cord that is directly connected to the vehicles electronics. Forklift adaptors counteract voltage fluctuations of up to 20 seconds and make additional converters obsolete.
The 25.4 cm 10 and 30.5 cm 12 versions are also available with an optional automatic power on/off mechanism The terminal can be connected to the ignition system with a freely adjustable timer to align terminal functions and work processes perfectly. Furthermore, an optional heating coil ensures operation in cold storage areas or outdoors at temperatures up to 30C below zero throughout the year. With the highest individual protection class IP67, the devices are perfectly protected against moisture, dirt and cleaning agents.
