A programmable network-attached reader with read and write capability, it's designed for medical, retail and transportation customers who need to implement a high-performing RFID system while minimizing engineering costs.
ThingMagic IZAR is a compact, programmable,4-port RAIN UHFRFID network attached reader with both read and write capability. State-of-the-art performance of over 750 tag reads per second allows ThingMagic IZAR to be used in a wide variety of applications. Output ower
levels of up to +31.5 dBm and high receiver sensitivity permit longer read distances.
Powerful Processor
ThingMagic IZAR is embedded with a powerful ARM Cortex processor running the Linux Operating System (OS), and generous amounts of DDR and FLASH memory, allowing complex on-reader programs to be written with the aid of JADAK’s custom
Mercury APl SDK. For those who simply need a data stream over networkor serial interfaces, JADAK offers the proprietary RAINstream application.
“Tagnostic”
ThingMagic IZAR supports the entire suite of RAIN UHF RFID tag functionality, including Gen2V2 security. It also supports custom features from a wide variety of tag vendors, enhancing functionality for specialized applications. Optional, non-RAIN tag protocols are also available, including ISO 18000-6B, IP-X and AEI ATA (transportation).
RAINstream Compatible
All settings, including those for RAINstream, can be configured via a web interface sourced by the reader. This interface also permits the administrator to view status, upgrade firmware, run diagnostic tests, and test reading ability.
Common Language
Mercury API, ThingMagic’s universal programming interface, permits easy software portabilityacross the entire ThingMagic product line–between finished readers and embdedded modules.
Multiple Data Interfaces
Control and data gathering connections to ThingMagic IZAR can be made over both LAN and client USB interfaces. Other interfaces can also be supported by adapters connected to the USB host interface, including WiFi, Bluetooth, and serial connections.
JADAK ( ThingMagic ), recognize the importance of managing product life cycles and allowing our customers sufficient time to plan when a product is at end of life. The ThingMagic Mercury6 finished reader has served our customers for more than 8 years but unfortunately, one of the key components of the Mercury6 finished reader is no longer available. Due to this component obsolescence, JADAK is forced to retire the ThingMagic Mercury6 finished reader.
IMPORTANT NOTE: ThingMagic M6e embedded module family is still available for purchase. It is only the Mercury6 finished reader that is being retired.
In light of this retirement, JADAK recently introduced a new product: ThingMagic IZAR – a 4-port UHF RFID Reader, which serves as a superior replacement of the Mercury6. The ThingMagic IZAR provides significantly better performance than the Mercury6 and comes at a lower cost. ThingMagic IZAR is an LLRP reader and also supports the ThingMagic Mercury API, which eases the migration path from the Mercury6 to the IZAR. Please see attached for the ThingMagic IZAR spec sheet.
Last time buy orders for the ThingMagic Mercury6 finished reader must be received on or before September 31st, 2018. Please note that last time buy orders may not be cancelled, and all last time buy orders will be shipped on or before December 31st, 2018. JADAK’s commitment to service and support, will honor all existing one-year warranties.
JADAK specializes in HF and RAIN UHF RFID products and services that help customers solve unique inspection, tracking, scanning and documenting challenges. Our engineering and applications teams will work with you to identify the best alternate replacement option for your needs and develop a migration path.
