The wide variety of accessories opens up the many different possibilities of its usage and application.Just some of the many possible combinations for your SCANNDY...The SCANNDY Cradle / Docking Station: The docking and communication unit distinguishes itself through its multifunctional usage.
The communication between the cradle and the SCANNDY is established over Bluetooth, and the connection to the host computer is made through RS232/485, USB, WLAN or Bluetooth the SCANNDY keypad or the Ethernet/Internet. Besides the built-in SCANNDY battery, the SCANNDY also comes with the option of an external rechargeable battery. Modular upgrades with TECPACKs - for example, getting RFID: Right along the trends of today's Auto-ID technology, the SCANNDY can become equipped with a RFID/transponder reading module through modular TECPACK expansions.In the SCANNDYbasic version, the compact TECPACK modules are integrated into a molded recess of the SCANNDY to save space and grant more mobility.The SCANNDYgun version exhibits a big external RFID antenna with an amplified reading field. The antenna is in a piece of soft shockproof plastic covering on the front side of the scanner.
The SCANNDY in Presentation Mode: The unique stabile-standing design of the SCANNDYgun version cradle enables it to be set in Presentation Mode. When in Presentation Mode, the SCANNDY stands in the docking station as opposed to being held by the user, but it stands in a way so that the barcodes or transponder that are to be read can be clearly presented to the reading laser. Even more accommodating is the ability of its display to turn 180° while working in this position, whereby any reading activity can be done properly.
In addition to its physical capabilities in Presentation Mode, the SCANNDY becomes an automatic barcode reader, and will read the barcodes without you even having to hit the trigger to start the reading operation.
